Tomas Machac is his next opponent. Machac easily dismantled Luca Nardi in the first-round, winning 6-3 6-1 6-1. He conceded just three break points during the match, with the Czech picking up his first win in three matches after a period of poor form.
This is likely to be one of the most exciting matches in round two. Fonseca will look to take the match to the Czech from the off and be the aggressor, with Machac absorbing the pace and counterpunching when the opportunity arises.
