Jiri Lehecka vs Ugo Humbert Prediction

Jiri Lehecka has started 2025 like he means business and after a four-month lay-off derailed his progress last year, the Czech star is certainly making up for lost time.

Lehecka produced a superb display last week to beat Carlos Alcaraz in three sets and that came after he eased to victory over Grigor Dimitrov and Fabian Marozsan. He was eliminated by Jack Draper in another tight match but there are so many positives for Lehecka to take right now as he has started the year with 13 wins from 16 matches.

After winning in Marseille ten days ago, Ugo Humbert made the decision to withdraw from the Doha event last week but the Frenchman is coming into this week full of confidence. He will have benefitted from the week off and will not be ready to go again this week.

Humbert is the defending champion this week after beating Alexander Bublik in last year’s final but it will be a challenge this year as the field looks very strong.

Humbert could not face a harder first-round match here and the bookies have this dead even in the betting. That is understandable. We like the fact that Humbert has had a good week to prepare for this and should not lose any momentum from that but Lehecka really is on fire too.

We think game betting is the way to go here and we can see long drawn-out sets, potentially going to a decider. Consider the overs in this one.
