Jiri Lehecka vs Rafael Jodar prediction

Jiri Lehecka progressed to the next round in Shanghai after a three set win over Nuno Borges. The Czech faced just one break point throughout the match, but Borges converted it in the sixth game of the second set and went on to level the contest. Lehecka impressively regrouped to win 6-3 3-6 6-3 after one hour and 58 minutes. The 24-year-old finished as the runner-up at the Japan Open in his last event, losing in the final to seven-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz. 

He will face Rafael Jodar next. The Spaniard returned to winning ways after coming from a set down to beat Thiago Agustin Tirante. Jodar was on the end of a heavy defeat to Adolfo Daniel Vallejo in Tokyo last week, and he appeared to be heading for another early exit after losing the opening set here. However, he fought back to win 4-6 6-2 6-3.

Jodar leads the head-to-head 1-0 after a comfortable win at the Canadian Open two months ago. He was forced to save nine out of 10 break point opportunities in his last match, and Lehecka’s superior serving could prove crucial here.
