Jiri Lehecka vs Luciano Darderi prediction

Jiri Lehecka began his clay court season preparations at Monte-Carlo, defeating Sebastian Korda in the first-round but then losing to Lorenzo Musetti in his next match despite winning the first set. Musetti would go on to make the final. Lehecka’s recent form has been largely poor, with early exits at both Sunshine Double events last month.

The Czech should still take encouragement from running the Italian so close, with Lehecka being just two games away from winning in straight sets. He now faces Luciano Darderi who is coming off back-to-back final appearances on clay.

A Challenger event in Napoli saw the Italian lose to Vit Kopriva in a close match but he did go one better a week later with victory at the Grand Prix Hassan in Morocco. He defeated top seed Tallon Griekspoor after two tight tiebreaks went his way.

Darderi is clearly in good form and this could be a tough match for Lehecka despite being the higher ranked of the two.
