Jiri Lehecka returns to the Qatar Open, having made the semi-finals last year. The Czech achieved the best win of his career as he defeated Carlos Alcaraz in the quarter-finals, but he was beaten by Jack Draper in the next stage of the tournament. Despite a strong 2025, Lehecka has not made the best of starts this season. He was forced to withdraw from the Brisbane International as the defending champion due to injury. He was then defeated by qualifier Arthur Gea in the first-round of the Australian Open.
He takes on Jenson Brooksby. The American is also struggling in terms of results, and is currently on a three-match losing streak. He lost to Sebastian Baez in Auckland and followed that up with defeats to Alexander Bublik and Tommy Paul in Melbourne and Dallas respectively.
