Jiri Lehecka continued his serene progress at Wimbledon as he brushed aside Alex Molcan in straight sets to reach the third-round. Lehecka fired 25 aces as he claimed a 6-3 6-2 6-4 victory. The Czech is yet to drop a set across his two matches so far.
Jaume Munar has also come through his opening matches without losing a set. He advanced to the third-round at the All England Club for the second straight year after beating Jacob Fearnley. Munar was made to work by Fearnley, but he consistently delivered in the biggest moments as he won 6-4 7-6 (3) 6-4. He thrashed Queen’s Club champion Francisco Cerundolo in his first-round match.
Lehecka leads the head-to-head 2-1, but this is their first match against each other on grass. The Miami Open finalist’s superior serving is likely to provide him with plenty of free points, and his attacking style could overwhelm Munar.
