Jiri Lehecka vs Gabriel Diallo prediction
Jiri Lehecka got off to a brilliant start at Queen’s as he defeated 2023 finalist Alex de Minaur in the first-round. It was an impressive performance from the Czech, as he struck down 10 aces and faced zero break points on his way to a 6-4 6-2 win. He now has three victories from his first four matches on grass this season having also made the quarter-finals of the Stuttgart Open last week.
He takes on Gabriel Diallo in the next stage after the Canadian extended his winning streak to six matches with a first-round win against Great Britain’s Billy Harris. Diallo recovered from a slump in the second set to win 6-1 3-6 6-4.
Lehecka is the higher ranked player and has made a strong start on the grass, but Diallo cannot be discounted considering he is still unbeaten on the surface this year and has a recent title under his belt at the Libema Open. We expect this one to go the distance.
