Jiri Lehecka vs Felix Auger-Aliassime prediction

Jiri Lehecka overcame the challenge of big serving Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard to reach the final of the European Open for the second successive year. Neither player was broken on serve throughout the match but Lehecka edged two tight tiebreaks, which included saving a set point in the second, to win 7-6 (3) 7-6 (7) after one hour and 29 minutes. Lehecka breezed through all his serving games as he won 92% of his first serve points and did not concede a break point.

Felix Auger-Aliassime will be his opponent in the final as he also reached his second final at the event with a professional performance to end Raphael Collignon’s brave run at the tournament. The Canadian, who recently made the semi-finals of the US Open and still has a chance of qualifying for the World Tour Finals, did not give up a break point as he won 7-6 6-4.

The head-to-head is tied at 1-1. Lehecka won the first encounter at the Australian Open in 2023, but Auger-Aliassime won their semi-final match in Madrid last year after the Czech was forced to retire early on. Both were very solid on serve in the semi-finals and this could prove to be a very close match. Auger-Aliassime has been on a strong upwards trajectory in recent months and may just have enough quality to win.
