Jiri Lehecka vs Alex Molcan prediction
Jiri Lehecka began his Wimbledon campaign with a straight sets win over Alexei Popyrin. Lehecka was not broken on serve as he won 6-4 6-2 6-4 after just an hour and 42 minutes. His best result at Wimbledon was a round-of-16 appearance in 2023.
He will face Alex Molcan in the next round after he defeated Daniel Altmaier in four sets. This first-round match was completed over two days as play was suspended after the third set, with Molcan leading by two sets to one. He did not take long to clinch the win as he raced clear in the fourth to complete a 6-4 3-6 7-5 6-2 victory. Altmaier had reached the semi-finals of the Halle Open earlier this month, but he found it tough in this first-round match.
Lehecka is ranked over 80 places higher than Molcan, and he is still a heavy favourite to advance to the next stage of the tournament.
