Jil Teichmann vs Magdalena Frech prediction
Jil Teichmann comes into this one on the back of 6-4, 6-4 victories against Liudmila Samsonova in the first round of their French Open campaign the other day. Teichmann reached the fourth round in Rabat last week, before succumbing to a straight sets loss to Petra Marcinko.
Magdalena Frech managed to get through to the second round after taking the first set against Elena-Gabriel Ruse before the Romanian retired hurt after three games in the second set. Frech had suffered first round losses in Indian Wells, Miami, Charleston, Madrid and Rome before a second round defeat in Strasbourg earlier this month.
Teichmann pulled off an impressive surprise win the other day and this does seem to be a relatively evenly matched contest, albeit the overall form would favour the Swiss.
