Jessica Pegula overcame a rain delay and the defiance of Aryna Sabalenka to book a spot in the German Open final.

The American shrugged off the frustration of seeing a lead slip in a second set tie-break to triumph 6-4 6-7 6-0.

The third seed will now face off with Linda Noskova for the title after the eight seed ended Alexandra Eala’s magnificent run by a 6-3 6-4 scoreline.
