Jessica Pegula vs Linda Noskova prediction
Jessica Pegula extended her unbeaten run against compatriot Emma Navarro to book her place in the semi-finals of the Bad Homburg Open. The top seed recovered from a slump in the second set to win 6-4 1-6 6-3. This was her first win over a top 10 player this season and she’s now into the last four of a grass court tournament for just the second time.
She will face Linda Noskova after the Czech defeated third Mirra Andreeva in straight sets. Noskova was always in control, not giving up her serve on any occasion throughout the match as she wrapped up a 6-3 6-3 win.
They have faced each other just before but it did take place earlier this season. Noskova upset Pegula 6-3 7-6 in the third-round of the Dubai Tennis Championships. This will be their first match on grass but the Czech has had a pretty strong couple of weeks, having also made the quarter-finals of the Nottingham Open.
Noskova is good value to cause another upset and defeat the top seed in the semi-final.
