Jessica Pegula vs Iga Swiatek prediction

Jessica Pegula continued her unbeaten record against Amanda Anisimova as she won in three sets at the Cincinnati Open to progress to the semi-finals. Pegula was pegged back after going 3-0 up in the decider, but she kept her composure in the tiebreak to complete a 6-4 2-6 7-6 (4) win after two hours and 15 minutes.

She will play defending champion Iga Swiatek for a place in the final. Swiatek advanced after her opponent Elena Rybakina retired in the first set. The Pole was leading 4-1 when Rybakina decided she could not continue as a result of a left ankle injury. Swiatek, who won her first title in 11 months at the Canadian Open last week, is now on a 10-match winning run.

Swiatek leads the head-to-head 7-5 and 5-4 on outdoor hard court. They last faced each other at the Italian Open in May, with the six-time Grand Slam champion easily winning 6-1 6-2. Swiatek is enjoying her best run of form for quite some time, and she is on the verge of back-to-back finals at WTA 1000 events.
