Jessica Bouzas Maneiro vs Ariana Arseneault prediction

Jessica Bouzas Maneiro suffered a third straight defeat at the Prague Open last time out as she was beaten in the first-round by defending champion Marie Bouzkova. Aside from two quarter-final appearances in Rabat and Nottingham, it’s been tough going for the Spaniard on the WTA Tour this season. Bouzas Maneiro did progress to the third-round at Wimbledon last month, losing to Jessica Pegula. She has a negative win-loss record in 2026, with 21 defeats from 36 matches.

She faces Ariana Arseneault, with the Canadian receiving a wildcard for her home tournament. Arseneault is ranked outside the top 400, but she did win an ITF title in March this year. She also advanced to the final of a Challenger event in Saskatoon, losing to Teah Chavez.

Bouzas Maneiro has far more tour-level experience compared to her opponent, and she will be the overwhelming favourite to progress to the next round in Toronto.
