Jenson Brooksby vs Martin Damm prediction
Jenson Brooksby will be looking to rebuild some momentum after a very difficult season up to this point. Brooksby was comprehensively defeated by Mariano Navone in his opening match at Roland Garros and then lost to Zhizhen Zhang in the first-round of the Libema Open last week. That extended his losing run to nine matches, and the American has not won since the first-round in Indian Wells at the beginning of March.
Martin Damm is his first-round opponent. Damm qualified for the event after wins over Daniel Merida and Zachary Svajda. He also impressed at the Libema Open last week, again winning both of his qualifying matches and then defeating Jaume Munar in straight sets. He was very competitive against Alex de Minaur in his next match, losing out in two close sets.
Damm is the player with the momentum at the moment, and Brooksby’s losing run could extend further here.
