Jenson Brooksby vs Jaime Faria prediction

Jenson Brooksby had made his comeback on the tour after doping suspensions and injuries. He made a slow start and dropped down to play a few Challenger Tour events. He had a breakthrough of sorts in Indian Wells as he made the third-round before a loss against eventual champion Jack Draper.

Brooksby then shocked many as he won his first ATP title at the Houston Open. As a qualifier, the American defeated the likes of Taro Daniel, Tommy Paul and Frances Tiafoe to make the perfect start to his clay season. However, he has only played one event since then and failed to get out of the qualifiers in Geneva, losing to Cameron Norrie.

Jaime Faria showed real promise during the earlier part of the year as he made the quarter-finals in Rio and Santiago during the South American clay court swing in February. However, he has not featured much since due to injury. He lost in the first-round of an Estoril Challenger and then retired from his match against Carlos Taberner in a qualifier for the Italian Open.

Brooskby had picked up a title on the surface this season while Faria has fitness issues despite a very encouraging early part of the season on clay. We lean towards a victory for the American.
