Jenson Brooksby vs Ignacio Buse prediction

Jenson Brooksby won his first-round match at Wimbledon as he beat Aleksandar Vukic in straight sets. Brooksby had defeated Vukic at the Eastbourne Open last week, and the American was on the winning side once again. The first set went to a tiebreak, with Brooksby saving two set points and going on to take the lead. He raced clear in the next two sets to win 7-6 (7) 6-1 6-1.

He will play Ignacio Buse. The Peruvian picked up a victory on his main draw debut at SW19 after beating Emilio Nava in four sets. Both players could not be separated after the first two sets, but Buse edged clear in the third and dominated the fourth to win 7-6 (3) 3-6 7-5 6-0. He won his first tour-level title in Hamburg last month, while he also beat former world number three Stefanos Tsitsipas at the Mallorca Championships.

Buse is still developing his game on grass, but there have been encouraging signs from the 22-year-old over the last few weeks. He has enough firepower to hurt Brooksby, but the American is able to disrupt rhythm with his consistency.
