Jenson Brooksby vs Arthur Cazaux prediction

Jenson Brooksby brushed aside the disappointment of missing out on match points in the second set to eventually power clear of Alexandre Muller.

The American showed great mental strength to secure a 7-6 5-7 6-1 success and tee up a second round clash with another Frenchman.

This time the world number 101 faces lucky loser Arthur Cazaux, who was handed a bye in the first round.

Cazaux has just enjoyed a late surge on clay with a semi-final in Gstaad followed by a runner-up finish in Kitzbuhel.

The world number 76 is also solid enough on hardcourts and will be playing freely, which could make him very dangerous.

Brooksby is the obvious pick on home turf and with his upward trajectory, but Cazaux has already caused a few upsets this year, so don’t completely rule him out.
