Jenson Brooksby vs Aleksandar Vukic prediction

Jenson Brooksby ended a nine-match unbeaten run at Queen’s last week as he beat Martin Damm in three sets. However, he was unable to string a few more victories together as he lost in the next stage to eventual champion Francisco Cerundolo, winning just four games. Brooksby reached the final of this tournament last year, losing to compatriot Taylor Fritz.

He will be hoping for a similar run on the eve of Wimbledon and faces Aleksandar Vukic in the first-round. Vukic qualified after wins over the British pair of Harry Wendelken and Hamish Stewart. Aside from a quarter-final appearance in Adelaide at the start of the year, it’s been a difficult season for Vukic, with 18 defeats from 20 matches overall.

Brooksby leads the head-to-head 2-1, but Vukic did win their previous meeting on grass, which came at the qualifying stages of this event last year. Nevertheless, the American will be the favourite to progress.
