Jenson Brooksby put in a decent showing in Cincinnati, as he equalled his best Masters result of the season by making the third-round. The American has reached two finals this season on the ATP Tour, winning the Houston Open at the beginning of April on clay. He is currently ranked 91 in the world.
Aleksandar Vukic, his first-round opponent, is just two places below Brooksby in the rankings. He qualified for the Winston-Salem Open last week but was on the end of a surprise defeat to Stefan Dostanic on his tour-level debut in the first-round. He did fare better in Toronto at the start of the month as he got through to the third-round, his best result on the ATP Tour so far in 2025.
Brooksby has been stronger on hard courts this season and should be able to generate break opportunities with his superior return game. If he can stay solid in serve, he’ll have a great chance of getting through to the next round here.
