The world number 31 suffered six straight defeats between Brisbane and Santiago before finally picking up wins to reach the second round at Indian Wells and Miami. 

A 6-4 7-6 loss to Casper Ruud coming into this clash means Tabilo has a wretched 2-8 record so far this season and he is 0-3 on clay. 

Brooksby has the confidence and the preparation on the dirt to make a mockery of the ranking gulf and could well pull off the upset.
