Four years on and the world number 55 will be up against an opponent having the best year of his career.

Foki clocked up a 25th hardcourt win of the campaign with a 7-6 6-4 win over Lorenzo Sonego last time out and is operating at a superb level in general. 

Brooksby has been no slouch either, mind you, with a run to the last four in Tokyo and 6-4 6-3 win over Alexandre Muller in his opener here. 

The American certainly has the unorthodox style to unsettle but given how well the eighth seed has been playing these sorts of conditions, it’s tough to back against Foki coming through in this one.
