Jaume Munar vs Marton Fucsovics prediction

Jaume Munar produced a fine display in the previous round as he beat defending champion Lorenzo Sonego in three sets. Munar made a fast start to the match, going 3-0 up, but Sonego reeled off five games in a row on his way to taking the first set. Munar went a break down in the second but recovered to force the match into a decider. He crucially saved two break points in the first service game of the third set before racing ahead to win 4-6 6-4 6-1. 

Marton Fucsovics will be his next opponent. The Hungarian had not featured on the tour for a month before this event but continued his progress with a 6-4 6-3 win over Roberto Bautista Agut. Fucsovics faced just one break point and wasn’t broken as he defeated the Spaniard for a third time. The world number 94 was solid during his service games, winning 89% of his points on first serve.

Fucsovics won their only previous meeting in Stuttgart, but that took place all the way back in 2019 and was on grass. Munar always finds a way of creating opportunities against his opponent and that should give him the edge in this one.
