Jaume Munar vs Alexander Bublik prediction
Jaume Munar outlasted Karen Khachanov in three sets to make the quarter-finals in Rotterdam. The first set went on serve and had to be decided on a tiebreak. Munar saved a set point and finally converted his at the third attempt to take the lead. Khachanov broke for the first time in the match as he took the second set. Munar crucially gained the advantage in the decider and went on to win 7-6 (8) 3-6 6-3.
He now faces Alexander Bublik. The world number 10 was not at his best once again but still came through to beat Jan-Lennard Struff 7-6 (2) 4-6 6-3. Bublik could only produce a first serve percentage of 48% and was broken twice, but he largely controlled the decider to advance.
They faced each other for the first time in round one of Wimbledon last year with Munar staging an upset as he won in five sets. Bublik has been below par at times this week and could encounter problems against the Spaniard, who will look to extend the rallies and test the physicality of his opponent.
