Jaume Munar vs Alexander Bublik prediction
After a second-round loss at the French Open, Jaume Munar began his grass court campaign at Queen’s Club. He advanced through to round two after Jordan Thompson’s withdrawal. He played a superb match against world number two Carlos Alcaraz and looked set for the biggest win of his career after going a break up in the deciding set. However, Alcaraz fought back to deny Munar a famous win. He couldn’t maintain that level in the first-round of the Mallorca Championships as he lost to Libema Open champion Gabriel Diallo in straight sets.
Alexander Bublik comes into Wimbledon in the form of his life. After reaching the quarter-final of the first-time at Roland Garros, the Kazakhstani then defeated world number one Jannik Sinner, Karen Khachanov and Daniil Medvedev in the final to win his second Halle Open title. He is now back in the top 30 and is seeded here.
It’s hard to look beyond Bublik for this one, with his strong serve and booming groundstrokes from the back of the court. Munar is a tough first-round opponent, but Bublik should overpower him.
