Jasmine Paolini vs Coco Gauff prediction

Jasmine Paolini produced her best performance of the tournament so far as she defeated Barbora Krejcikova 6-1 6-2. This was their first match against each other since the Wimbledon final in 2024, which Krejcikova won, but this was a dominant win for Paolini who did not face a break point and didn’t look back after breaking the Czech’s serve in her very first service game.

She now goes up against two-time Grand Slam winner Coco Gauff. Gauff continued her resurgence with a straight sets victory over Lucia Bronzetti. The American still suffered from a few lapses in some games but she was always in control as she wrapped up a 6-2 6-4 win after an hour and 19 minutes.

The head-to-head is locked at 2-2. Gauff won their first two contests, including a victory against the Italian at this very stage of the competition on her way to winning the title in 2023. However, Paolini has picked up the wins in their two most recent matches on clay in Stuttgart and Rome, with both taking place this year.

Nevertheless, Gauff leads 2-0 on hard court and will be a firm favourite to advance. She is serving better and should be able to overpower Paolini in this quarter-final.
