Jannik Sinner vs Taylor Fritz Prediction
Jannik Sinner looked in ominously good form in his opening match beating Alex de Minaur 6-3 6-4 and the reality is, he did not have to overly break sweat in securing the win. He won 81% on both first and second serve and De Minaur could only win 10 points on his serve over the two sets.
Sinner now takes on Taylor Fritz in what is a rematch of the US Open final. Sinner won that match 6-3 6-4 7-5 in what was a competitive match but Sinner was always a step ahead.
Fritz won his opening match against Daniil Medvedev and his serve was as impressive as ever firing down nine aces. That will be key to any success against Sinner and he will need to be serving at this best here against one of the best returners in the game.
Sinner is on a different level right now however. Every part of his game is at a high level and barring any hint of complacency, he should have too much all-round for Fritz. If there is any likelihood of Sinner easing up, that would more than likely come in his final group game if he has already qualified – we do not see it happening here.
