Jannik Sinner vs Miomir Kecmanovic prediction

Jannik Sinner begins the defence of his Wimbledon title on the opening day, with the Italian aiming to claim a second title at the All England Club and a fifth Grand Slam overall. Sinner won the event for the first time last year, coming from a set down to beat rival Carlos Alcaraz in the final. The world number one was unable to win the Career Grand Slam at Roland Garros, falling to a shock second-round loss to Juan Manuel Cerundolo. Sinner served for a straight sets win but began to struggle in the sweltering Paris conditions and went on to lose in five. The Italian opted not to play in a warm-up grass court event in the lead up.

He will play Miomir Kecmanovic in the first-round. The Serb lost in the opening round of the Halle Open to Fabian Marozsan. He fared better in Mallorca as he won two matches to progress to his third ATP quarter-final of the season, but he was then beaten by Marozsan yet again.

Sinner leads the head-to-head 4-0 and 1-0 on grass. They faced each other at the third-round stage of this event in 2024, with the four-time Grand Slam champion winning in straight sets. He may need a few games to get up to speed, but this is likely to be a straight-forward victory for Sinner.

Jannik Sinner vs Miomir Kecmanovic tip: Under 30.5 games
