The 2023 champion maintained his dominance over Alex de Minaur with a 6-3 4-6 6-2 victory that pushed their head-to-head to 11-0 in the top seed’s favour.
The Italian will now be a heavy favourite to go one better than last year’s runner-up spot and clinch a second title at the event.
