Jannik Sinner vs Gabriel Diallo prediction

Jannik Sinner kicked off his Cincinnati title defence with a statement-like win over Daniel Elahi Galan.

The world number one gave the qualifier a thrashing as he cruised to a 6-1 6-1 success in his first match since lifting the Wimbledon title.

The Italian will now face Gabriel Diallo in the third round after the 30th seed saw off Sebastian Baez 7-5 6-4. 

This will be a first ever meeting between the pair with the Canadian needing that thumping first serve to fire relentlessly to realistically have any sort of chance. 

Diallo will surely be more competitive than Galan but it remains highly unlikely his return game will do enough damage and the top seed is a good bet to seal this in straight sets.
