Janice Tjen booked a spot in her second WTA final with a clutch win over Lanlana Tararudee.

The in-form Indonesian did the damage in a pair of breakers as she edged to a 7-6 7-6 victory over the 21-year-old Thai hopeful.

Tjen will now bid to land her maiden WTA title and cap what has been a stunning 2025 for the world number 82. 

Standing in her way is seventh seed Kimberly Birrell who hit back from 5-0 down in the decider to beat an ailing Joanna Garland 6-7 6-3 7-5.

Birrell had to save match points and played over three hours in tough conditions, so it feels like Tjen’s momentum will fire her through as she looks to banish the memory of her disappointment in the Sao Paulo final recently.
