Jan-Lennard Struff vs Sebastian Baez prediction

Jan-Lennard Struff competed in Mallorca last week, but he lost his opening match to Nuno Borges. The German’s results have not been particularly impressive this season, but he does have a decent record at the All England Club, with four previous third-round appearances. He enjoyed a strong run here last year, pulling off an upset by beating Felix Auger-Aliassime, before taking a set off Carlos Alcaraz and coming close to forcing a decider.

His opponent is Sebastian Baez. The Argentine began the season brilliantly, with an undefeated record at the United Cup and a run to the final in Auckland. The Golden Swing brought about two semi-finals in Buenos Aires and Santiago, but his European clay court swing was littered with early exits from tournaments, including at Roland Garros.

Struff’s level seems to increase at slams, and his more aggressive game is far better suited to the fast grass court conditions than Baez’s.
