Jan-Lennard Struff vs Nuno Borges prediction

Jan-Lennard Struff advanced to the round-of-16 in Mallorca after overcoming Martin Landaluce in three sets. The German’s level dropped considerably in the second, but he recovered in the decider to win 6-3 1-6 7-5. He will now be attempting to reach a first quarter-final of the campaign.

However, he will have to overcome Nuno Borges. The Portuguese player comfortably got past Adrian Mannarino in his first-round match. Borges produced a first serve percentage of 87% and was largely dominant throughout as he won 6-2 6-2. He competed at the Halle Open last week, pushing top seed Felix Auger Aliassime to a deciding set in their first-round match, but ultimately losing in three.

Borges has been competitive during this short grass court season, but he arguably hasn’t had the results to show for it. Struff can be a threat on this surface, but his overall form this season has not great.
