James Duckworth vs Eliot Spizzirri prediction

James Duckworth reached the second-round of the Australian Open after a five set marathon win over Dino Prizmic. He then faced world number two Jannik Sinner and was emphatically beaten in straight sets. He was part of Australia’s team for Davis Cup qualifying, but he lost his singles match against Andres Andrade as they lost 3-1 to Ecuador. 

Eliot Spizzirri has made strides at the start of the season. He reached his second ATP quarter-final in Auckland at the start of last month, despite only entering the main draw as a qualifier. He then advanced to the third-round of the Australian Open after two straight wins. He took the first set against Sinner and went a break up in the third as the Italian struggled with cramps in the extreme conditions. After the roof closed, Sinner began to find his footing and ended up defeating Spizzirri in four sets.

This has been an encouraging first leg of the season for Spizzirri and he has enough quality in his game to win against Duckworth.
