James Duckworth vs Arthur Fery prediction
James Duckworth continued his best run at an ATP tournament this year as he came from a set down to beat Fabian Marozsan and reach the semi-finals of the Winston-Salem Open. Duckworth lost the first set on a tiebreak but responded well to level the match in the second. Both players exchanged breaks at the start of the decider, with the Australian breaking once more in the ninth game and serving it out to win 6-7 (4) 6-2 6-4 after two hours and 30 minutes.
He will now face Arthur Fery, as the Brit reached his first ever tour-level semi-final after also coming from a set down to win his quarter-final match. Fery crucially broke in the 12th game of the second set to draw level and then opened up a 3-0 lead in the decider as he won 3-6 7-5 6-3 after two hours and eight minutes. It was a better serving display from Fery, as he won 82% of his first serve points and conceded just the one break point.
These two faced each other at the Cincinnati Open earlier this month, with Fery squeezing past Duckworth in a deciding set tiebreak. This could be another hotly contested match between the pair.
