Jakub Mensik vs Toby Samuel prediction
Jakub Mensik broke new ground at Roland Garros earlier this month as he defeated Andrey Rublev and Joao Fonseca on his way to his first ever Grand Slam semi-final, where he lost to Alexander Zverev in four sets. He did compete at Queen’s Club, but lost his opening match to Adrian Mannarino despite winning the first set. The Czech reached the third-round of this event last year.
He will face Toby Samuel, who is set to make his SW19 debut in the main draw after receiving a wildcard. He was heavily beaten by compatriot Arthur Fery at Queen’s Club, but he enjoyed a much better showing in Eastbourne as he advanced to his first tour-level semi-final. Samuel entered the tournament as a lucky loser but then beat Thiago Agustin Tirante and Juan Manuel Cerundolo, before a three set defeat to Zizou Bergs.
