Jakub Mensik vs Jannik Sinner prediction
Jakub Mensik advanced to the quarter-finals in Doha after a straight sets win over Zhizhen Zhang. Mensik was challenged by qualifier Jan Choinski in round one, but this was a far more straight-forward match for the 20-year-old as he did not face a break point and broke three times himself to win 6-3 6-2 after one hour and six minutes.
He faces world number two Jannik Sinner for the first time. Sinner defeated Alexei Popyrin in his round-of-16 match. The Italian controlled the first set, but Popyrin dug in to frustrate Sinner in the second. Nevertheless, he would break at 5-5 and served it out in style to win 6-3 7-5. The four-time Grand Slam champion is serving extremely well and has not faced a break point in either of his two matches so far this week.
Both players are likely to dominate on serve but Sinner should find a way of creating enough chances to win this relatively comfortably.
