Jakub Mensik will hope for another deep run on an American hardcourt in Cincinnati.

The Czech had a solid if unspectacular spell on clay and grass following his break-out Masters 1000 title triumph in Miami.

First up here, the 19-year-old meets American Ethan Quinn for the second time. 

Mensik came out on top 7-6 6-1 in the fast conditions of Madrid earlier this year and a similar outcome seems likely on this surface despite Quinn’s strong showing in his 7-6 6-4 win over Miomir Kecmanovic in the first round.
