Jacob Fearnley vs Jaume Munar prediction

Jacob Fearnley pulled off one of the best results of his career in round one of Wimbledon as he came from two sets down to stun Alex Michelsen. The British has struggled in terms of results this season and looked on course for a straight sets exit, but he fought back to win 3-6 4-6 6-2 6-3 6-2 in front of a jubilant home crowd. 

He will now play Jaume Munar for a place in the third-round. Munar picked up a brilliant victory in his opening match as he outplayed Francisco Cerundolo to win in straight sets. Cerundolo won the title at Queen’s Club just over a week ago, but he was poor from the start as Munar won 6-1 6-4 6-3. The Spaniard was not broken on serve and won 94% of his points on first serve. This ended a four-match losing run for the 29-year-old. 

Fearnley’s comeback should give him plenty of belief, although Munar is a formidable opponent in the best-of-five format.
