Jack Pinnington achieved one of the best wins of his career as he comfortably defeated Flavio Cobolli in the first-round of the Dallas Open. Cobolli has made a poor start to the season and committed a number of errors in this match, but Pinnington Jones also applied pressure at every given opportunity and was always in control as he wrapped up an emphatic 6-2 6-2 victory.
Eliot Spizzirri is his next opponent. The American continued his encouraging start to the season with a comfortable win over James Duckworth. Spizzirri did not even concede a break point and broke on three separate occasions as he won 6-2 6-4 after just one hour and 19 minutes. He reached the third-round of a major for the first time last month at the Australian Open.
