Jack Draper vs Taylor Fritz Prediction
Jack Draper has been pretty solid so far but he was handed a good test last time out against Jenson Brooksby. He was losing in the first set and down 4-1 in the first set but he rallied to win out 7-5 6-4 to make it through to the round of 16.
His first serve was strong winning 90% of them and while he was broken in the first set, he only conceded two break points in total and lost 13 points on his serve overall.
Draper is warming up nicely and he will have to step it up once again as he now faces third-seed Tayor Fritz on Wednesday evening.
Fritz was pushed harder than many expected by Alejandro Tabilo in his third-round match as he lost the first set but he clicked into gear and was comfortable in the end.
The pair have met four times before and each player has won two matches apiece. It was Draper who won the last meeting and that came in Paris at the back end of last year in what was their only meeting on a hard surface.
Our preference here is for Jack Draper but we expect Fritz to raise his game with home support on his side. We are expecting a long drawn-out battle primarily and just as their last three meetings have gone to a deciding set, we expect this to follow suit.
