Jack Draper produced a brilliant display in his first clay-court match of the season, needing just 61 minutes to beat Marcos Giron 6-1 6-1. Draper hit 21 winners to his opponent’s nine on the way to a comfortable win. This is already Draper’s best result at a Masters 1000 tournament on clay, but he now faces a tough match against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.

The Spaniard backed up his win against Ben Shelton with a straight-sets victory in the second round against Tomas Etcheverry. Off the back of two impressive wins, Davidovich Fokina is a 2022 finalist at the event and will head into this one full of confidence.
