Iva Jovic vs Renata Zarazua prediction

Teenager Iva Jovic will be targeting an upset when she makes her French Open debut against Renata Zarazua.

The 17-year-old has limited experience on the main tour but did reach the second round at the Australian Open in January and recently won a W100 on clay in Charlottesville. 

Zarazua is ranked at 72 in the world and is 10 years older than her American opponent, who she beat in straight sets in their only other meeting in the final of W100 in Tyler last year.

The Mexican reached the final of a W100 in Madrid recently but has only managed three wins on tour in 2025 - the same number as Jovic. 

If the youngster rises to the occasion and the big stage, there could be a possible upset brewing, particularly as the world number 130 has an excellent clay record at ITF level and is one year on from that defeat that she will be aiming to avenge.
