Iryna Shymanovich vs Viktorija Golubic prediction
Iryna Shymanovich has already pulled off a couple of victories to reach this stage, defeating Greet Minnen and then Katherine Sebov in qualification. Shymanovich has never made it past the first round of a Grand Slam event.
Viktorija Golubic enjoyed a relatively strong start to 2026 but the Swiss has since drifted. Her career best at a Grand Slam came at Wimbledon in 2021 when she got to the quarter-finals but her second best came as recently as last month at Roland Garros when she reached the third round.
Golubic recently reached the semi-finals of the Nottingham Open and despite Shymanovich impressing in qualification, the Swiss is firm favourite on Court 5.
