Ignacio Buse is set to make his first appearance of the season, with the 21-year-old at a ranking high of 96 in the world. He won two Challenger titles in 2025, while he also achieved his best result on the ATP Tour as he made it all the way to the semi-finals in Gstaad.
The Italian takes on Francesco Passaro in round one. Passaro defeated Nicolas Kicker and Marco Cecchinato in his two qualifying matches to make the main draw. He competed in the Oeiras Challenger just over a fortnight ago, winning two more matches before a defeat to Daniil Glinka. Passaro is outside of the world’s top 150 after some struggles with injury, but clay is his favoured surface.

He has the edge when it comes to fitness as he has far more matches under his belt coming into this one, and he could prevail here.
