Iga Swiatek vs Xiyu Wang prediction

Iga Swiatek found form for the first time this season at the Canadian Open, as she won her first title in 11 months. Swiatek dropped just two sets across the entire tournament and easily beat world number two Elena Rybakina in the final. The former world number one threatened to win back-to-back WTA 1000 events as she extended her winning run to 10 matches following a run to the semi-finals of the Cincinnati Open. However, she would lose to Jessica Pegula in the last four. Despite that loss, Swiatek is firmly back in form and appears to be playing close to her best once again.

Swiatek will be aiming for a second US Open title and seventh major overall, as she faces Xiyu Wang in the first-round. The Chinese player impressed in Cincinnati, making it all the way from qualifying to the round-of-16. She then competed in Philadelphia but had to withdraw before her quarter-final match.

Swiatek leads the head-to-head 2-0. She should have too much quality for her opponent in the first-round.
