Iga Swiatek vs Marie Bouzkova prediction

Iga Swiatek continued her impressive start to the US Open by comfortably beating Nadia Podoroska in straight sets. The 2022 champion needed just one hour and 11 minutes to secure a 6-3 6-2 win. The victory means Swiatek has now reached the third-round at 27 consecutive Grand Slam tournaments, while her strong North American hard court summer continues after winning Toronto and progressing to the semi-finals of the Cincinnati Open. 

She will now take on Marie Bouzkova after the Czech swept aside Harriet Dart in round two. Bouzkova did not even face a break point as she won 6-2 6-2. Bouzkova has not dropped a set across her two matches so far, as she also easily defeated Elsa Jacquemot in the previous round.

Swiatek dominates the head-to-head, leading 3-0. She easily beat Bouzkova in Wuhan last year, before another convincing win at the Australian Open in January. Swiatek has dropped just 10 games so far, and she will be expected to win in dominant fashion once more.
