THE PREDICTION
Finland needed a shootout to overcome Canada in their final game in
Group B and their failure to get the job done in regulation time
resulted in the Finns dropping to second spot. They will hope that
slip-up does not come back to bite them as they take on Czech Republic
in this last eight contest but the Czechs will be licking their lips
here having won their last five matches. They thrashed Slovakia 7-3 in
their final game to maintain their superb run of form but the Finns have
also won their last five to highlight how closely these two are
matched. This could go either way with either side capable of prevailing
but in what should be a tight affair, goals should be at a premium and
there should be no more than six scored.
