THE PREDICTION
After their abysmal start to the IIHF World Championship, Canada can
put themselves right in contention for a spot in the quarter-finals with
a win over Finland in their final game of Group B. The Canadians lost
their opening three matches but have turned their form around
impressively having recorded three straight victories since. They
thrashed Italy 7-1 last time out to come into this clash with the Finns
with plenty of confidence and with nothing to lose as they attempt to
finish in the top four. Finland top the group and have won their last
four matches so they will fancy their chances of recording another win
too but with qualification already secure for them, they might not have
as much intent to win this one and Canada can capitalise to earn what
could be a crucial victory.
