Hull KR vs Hull FC prediction

It is Hull KR who have dominated proceedings against their city rivals Hull FC in the last few years and they will be looking to get back to winning ways at Magic Weekend.

They suffered a heavy 34-8 loss at the hands of Leeds Rhinos last weekend and while they did not play overly bad, they were punished for their errors and will be desperate to bounce back.

Their form prior to that had been improving ever since they lost the Challenge Cup final and this fixture will be just what they need to lift themselves for the final run-in.

Team news however is not favourable for the reigning champions as Tevita Pangai Jr is suspended, while Tom Amone and Dean Hadley are both ruled out through injury so they have issues at prop.

That will give Hull FC some confidence coming into this one but their form has not been the best as they did with five wins in the bottom half of the standings.

They will be desperate to get something and give their fans something to shout about but it is hard to make a case for them even with Hull KR’s absentees.

Expect Willie Peters men to step up and get the win but Hull FC can keep it within the spread.

Hull KR vs Hull FC tip: Hull FC +16.5 points
